Ukraine's national dish. The word means boiled in Ukrainian. Eaten at every celebration.
Ukraine's beloved dumplings — half-moon parcels filled with potato and cheese, boiled and served with sour cream and fried onions.
Make dough with flour, egg, water and salt. Knead 10 minutes. Rest 30 minutes.
Mix potato with cheese and half the fried onion. Season.
Roll dough thin. Cut rounds. Fill and fold. Seal edges firmly.
Cook in salted boiling water 5-7 minutes until they float.
Serve topped with sour cream and remaining fried onion.
Seal the edges firmly — press and crimp to ensure no filling leaks.
