One of the world's largest food, agriculture and horticulture fairs, running in Berlin since 1926 with exhibitors from dozens of countries.
Since 1926, Internationale Grüne Woche has brought food producers, farmers and exhibitors from around the world to Berlin each January, making it one of the longest-running and largest agricultural and food fairs on earth. Dozens of countries take part with their own dedicated pavilions, offering visitors the chance to sample regional specialities from across the globe under one roof.
While a significant portion of the event caters to agricultural trade and policy — ministers and industry figures from around the world regularly use the fair as a venue for discussion — the public days are genuinely food-focused, with tastings, cooking demonstrations and produce for sale from thousands of exhibitors.
For a fair now approaching its second century, Grüne Woche has become a reliable midwinter fixture on Germany's calendar — a reminder, in the depths of Berlin's winter, of the sheer scale and diversity of the world's food and farming.
