Eurochocolate Perugia

Festival

One of the largest chocolate festivals in the world, taking over the historic streets of Perugia with tastings, sculptures and stalls from chocolatiers across Europe.

Perugia, Italy

Each autumn, the medieval streets of Perugia — already home to the famous Perugina chocolate house and its Baci hazelnut chocolates — fill with the smell of cocoa for one of the world's largest dedicated chocolate festivals. Chocolatiers from across Italy and abroad set up stalls throughout the historic centre, offering tastings that range from classic bars to increasingly inventive creations.

Beyond the eating, Eurochocolate has become known for its elaborate chocolate sculptures, workshops on bean-to-bar production, and a genuinely festive street-party atmosphere that draws visitors from across Europe over the festival's run.

For a city whose name is already synonymous with Italian chocolate-making, the festival is as much a celebration of local industry as it is an open invitation for the rest of the world to taste what Umbria does best.
