Italy's premier wine event and one of the largest wine fairs on earth, bringing thousands of producers to Verona each spring.
Each spring, Verona's exhibition grounds host what has become one of the world's most important gatherings for the wine industry. Vinitaly brings together thousands of Italian and international producers, showcasing everything from small family vineyards to major established estates across every one of Italy's celebrated wine regions.
While much of the event caters to trade visitors and industry professionals, the surrounding week — often referred to as Vinitaly and the City — spills out into Verona itself, with tastings, masterclasses and wine bars open to the general public throughout the historic centre.
For a country that produces more wine than almost anywhere else on earth, Vinitaly has become the closest thing to a definitive annual showcase of Italian wine in all its regional diversity, from Piedmont's Barolo to Sicily's Nero d'Avola.
