A touring festival of local and international cuisine, moving between Al Khobar, Riyadh and Jeddah each winter.
Rather than settling in a single city, the Food Culture Festival takes a touring format each winter, moving in sequence between Al Khobar, Riyadh and Jeddah over several weeks. Organised by Saudi Arabia's Culinary Arts Commission in collaboration with the Quality of Life Program, the festival aims to deliver a consistent, city-hopping celebration of both local Saudi cuisine and international culinary traditions.
Each stop follows a similar structure across four distinct zones: an exhibitors' area with booths showcasing global cuisines and products, a workshops area covering bakery, live cooking and handicrafts, a theatre area for performing arts and world music, and a dedicated kids' area with cooking workshops and competitions. This consistent format means visitors in any of the three host cities get a broadly similar, family-friendly experience.
As part of Saudi Arabia's wider Quality of Life Program initiatives, the festival is explicitly framed around expanding entertainment and cultural options for residents — a reflection of how significantly the country's public event calendar has grown in recent years.
