One of America's oldest and largest agricultural festivals, drawing hundreds of thousands to Ohio for giant pumpkin weigh-ins and pumpkin pie.
Running continuously since 1903, the Circleville Pumpkin Show is one of the oldest festivals of its kind in the United States, and one of the largest — regularly drawing several hundred thousand visitors to a town with a fraction of that population. Giant pumpkin weigh-ins are a genuine highlight, with prize-winning specimens often exceeding half a tonne.
The festival fills the town's streets with food vendors serving every conceivable pumpkin dish, alongside parades, rides and contests — a proper old-fashioned American harvest festival that has kept its character for well over a century.
