Bai Sach Chrouk

Cambodia

Sold by street vendors before dawn. Cambodians eat this before work or school — it is the city's alarm clock.

Grilled pork and rice — very thinly sliced pork marinated in coconut milk and garlic, grilled over charcoal and served on rice with pickled vegetables. Cambodia's most beloved breakfast.
