Lamprais

Sri Lanka

The cuisine of the Sri Lankan Burgher community. The name comes from the Dutch lomprijst meaning a lump of rice.

Dutch-influenced rice and accompaniments wrapped in banana leaves and baked — a complete meal in a fragrant parcel. A Burgher community treasure.
