Tafelspitz

Austria

Emperor Franz Joseph ate Tafelspitz almost every day of his life.

Emperor Franz Joseph's favourite — prime beef slowly poached in vegetable broth, served with apple-horseradish, creamed spinach and rösti. Vienna's most refined boiled meat.
