Hungarian deep-fried flatbread — yeast dough fried until golden and puffy, topped with sour cream and grated cheese. Hungary's most beloved street food.
Mix flour, yeast, milk and salt to a soft dough. Prove 1 hour.
Stretch each portion thin by hand.
Fry in deep oil at 170°C, turning, until golden and puffed. Drain.
Top with sour cream, cheese and garlic oil.
Stretch with your hands, not a rolling pin — the dough should be thinner in the middle than the edges.
