Marinara Sauce

Italy

'Marinara' means 'sailor's style' and was said to be a sauce cooked quickly on board ship. In Naples it is the tomato sauce of the original pizza marinara, made with garlic, oregano and olive oil.

A simple, bright Italian tomato sauce with garlic, olive oil and basil. The basis for pizza, arancini dipping and countless pasta dishes.
