Pozole Rojo

Mexico

Made by the Aztecs with human flesh at religious ceremonies. Now made with pork. Still a ceremonial soup.

Mexican hominy soup — a fiery red chilli and pork broth with hominy corn kernels and shredded pork. Mexico's ancient ceremonial soup, once eaten at Aztec festivals.
