Horiatiki Salad

Greece

Horiatiki means village-style. The international Greek salad with lettuce is not how it is eaten in Greece.

The Greek village salad — ripe tomatoes, cucumber, peppers and Kalamata olives with a whole block of feta and nothing but olive oil. No lettuce, ever.
