Bok L'Hong

Cambodia

Cambodia's answer to som tam. The prahok makes it more pungent and complex than the Thai version.

Cambodian green papaya salad — green papaya pounded with dried shrimp, tomato, long beans and prahok fermented fish paste. The fiercer, funkier Cambodian cousin of Thai som tam.
